Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain web applications using Python and Django.

- Create sleek, responsive user interfaces with Tailwind CSS.

- Write robust tests to ensure high-quality code.

- Participate in agile sprints to plan, develop, and deploy new features.

- Integrate third-party APIs to extend functionality.

- Work with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and Scikit-learn to develop, train, and deploy intelligent models.

- Utilize GPT and Deepseek APIs to create conversational and AI-driven features.

Qualifications:

- Solid experience or academic background in Python and Django.

- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS for modern front-end design.

- Experience with testing methodologies and frameworks.

- Understanding of agile development practices.

- Knowledge of API integrations and RESTful services.

- Basic to intermediate understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts.

- Prior exposure to PyTorch and Scikit-learn is a plus.

- Interest in working with GPT and Deepseek APIs.

This is a hybrid role (you’ll need to work from our Jaffna office at least 3 days a week). The salary range is LKR 200K - 250K, plus 0.2% equity in Cogntix with a 4-year vesting period.

What We're Looking For:

- 1+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on NLP and LLMs. 2+ years in software development.

- Strong Python skills, experience with Langchain, PyTorch, Hugging Face.

- Proven experience optimizing LLMs in production.

- Experience with vector DBs, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.

- Passion for open-source AI models and staying current with the latest AI research.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

- Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for user-centric product development.
