Network Engineer - Unified Communications | Eyepax

We are seeking a Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco UC/Webex and Microsoft Teams to support, configure, and optimize enterprise communication and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will also have experience in routing, switching, and firewalls, ensuring secure and efficient network operations.

Experience and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Cisco Unified Communications (UC), Webex, and Microsoft Teams to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VoIP, video conferencing, and messaging platforms.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to support enterprise-wide connectivity.
• Ensure network security by implementing best practices for firewall configurations, VPNs, and access controls.
• Monitor network and communication system performance, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects, upgrades, and integrations.
• Maintain documentation, network diagrams, and policies for network and unified communication systems.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and implementation for communication and network systems.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in Cisco UC, Webex, Microsoft Teams, and networking to improve system reliability and performance.

Qualifications and Personal Characteristics:

• 4+ years of proven experience in Cisco Unified Communications (UC), Webex, and Microsoft Teams administration (Required).
• 4+ years of experience in network engineering, including routing, switching, and firewall management (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of VoIP, SIP protocols, and collaboration tools.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing network infrastructure, including VLANs, QoS, and wireless networking.
• Familiarity with network security best practices, firewall policies, and VPN setups.
• Understanding of network monitoring tools, troubleshooting methodologies, and performance optimization techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure system availability and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry Certifications (Preferred but not required):
• CCNA/CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional) – Required/Preferred
• Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate – Preferred
• Cisco Collaboration Certification (CCNP Collaboration, Webex Calling) – A plus
• Firewall Certifications (Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSA, or equivalent) – A plus
• Experience working in an enterprise IT environment with large-scale network and communication solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud-based collaboration solutions, hybrid deployments, and VoIP infrastructure.
