Senior Executive / Assistant Manager - Corporate Communications & Content Marketing Specialist | John Keells Group
Develop, execute, and deliver rich media content across all channels relating to the Corporate (JKH) brand specifically, play a key role in the success of all OCTAVE (the John Keells Group’s Data and Advanced Analytics division) marketing and talent acquisition campaigns. The ideal candidate should know how to ideate and strategize campaigns and develop creative content for the specific platforms. While the Content Marketing Specialist is a role within the Group Corporate Communications team, they will work closely with the OCTAVE, HR, and DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), Investor Relations, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility teams and build compelling content to uplift the brand image further.
Job Responsibilities
Strategy
- With guidance from the respective functional heads, develop and execute creative campaigns and create regular content for the brand that engages with target audiences. Adopt a storytelling approach for content requirements and find creative ways to share and connect with our audience. Think holistically about campaigns and work collaboratively with the respective teams.
- Writing editorial content, story boards, concept boards and liaising with external agencies for video content.
- Plan and execute a content strategy that drives high engagement and ensure consistency of brand voice.
- Stay updated on trends and adapt the content strategy as needed.
- Overlook the distribution of content across all channels.
Operation
- Research related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies).
- Create and write content for social media, and other marketing and communications channels.
- Create Content over various organic social channels using a wide variety of skills including video, animation, design, photography, and written content.
- Craft content that is engaging and thought-provoking that strives to delight and connect with readers.
- Think about the BIG PICTURE. Take the audience through a journey. Providing a great experience across multiple platforms.
- Identify trends and conversations for content creation opportunities.
- Coordinate with outside agencies and colleagues, as necessary.
- Stay ahead of the trend game. Keeping a pulse on trends, current events, new platform features, to stay relevant with our audiences.
- Development of concepts, story boards and mood boards.
- Liaison with production houses giving them the right brief.
Person Specifications
- Bachelor's Degree relating to marketing, branding or communications or a recognized professional qualification in marketing, branding, or communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on creative writing.
- Demonstrated ability to lead marketing campaigns.
- A minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
